Charleston Crochet Recycled T-shirt Yarn

What is Recycled T-shirt Yarn? What should you expect when purchasing Charleston Crochet Yarn?

    Charleston Crochet T-shirt Yarn is made of recycled fibers. The remnants of the fashion industry fabrics. We look for materials that are soft to the touch, but still have a little stretch to them. Not all T-shirt Yarn companies are the same, but Charleston Crochet prides ourselves in offering a truly recycled product that can be repurposed and up-cycled by it's customers.

    Given the nature of our product there are a few things to take note of. Each color will differ in consistency unless otherwise specified. Our yarn is about 1-1.5 inches wide, which makes it ideal for all projects. Each roll is not sold by length because each color differs in material and stretch, they are sold by weight instead, 500g each. For bags and purses made out of our yarn it will be light weight and less bulky. Baskets and rugs will still have the benefit of keeping a strong shape as well as being able to double up the yarn to use for even thicker projects. The color may vary between rolls/skeins, but stay in the same color group. Also it is not uncommon to find knots or stitching  given the nature of the yarn.

  T-Shirt yarn is amazing for either beginners or experienced crafters. Its bulky nature makes crafting projects quicker and making larger items easier. T-Shirt yarn can be used for crochet, knitting, hand-knitting, macramé, jewelry making, and the possibilities are as wide as your imagination.

  Our T-Shirt yarn is directly acquired from a textile factory. Unlike some other brands, our products promote recycling, up-cycling and eco-friendly practices.
